Nice little Microwave poor long term quality

Microwave is about 6 years old started giving us an F17 Error code for an issue with the inverter. While the part might have a 10 year warranty itll cost more to replace it than just buying a new Microwave. Not a very quick cooking machine takes longer than I would like and its not very even heating. Looks nice but if it doesnt last why bother? I hope my LG dishwasher doesnt have issues...

Slow/inconsistent heating

Note: Were working with LG to replace this microwave under warranty. Its possible that its defective. If its not defective it takes a really long time to heat water/leftovers compared to our last Sharp 1000 watt microwave. Were also not crazy about having the controls behind the door. Its a sleek look but not super convenient. The interior of the microwave is also very dark so its a lot more difficult to see how things are going inside: we cant see bubbles in boiling water or melting cheese for instance.

If you read the one-star reviews you will find most complaints about complete product failure in less than two years. Mine failed completely after 22months with the waveguide flaming up and sparking. The technician that LG sent said it was unrepairable and a fire hazard. LGs customer service was very responsive when they determined the microwave was a fire hazard hence sending the technician at their expense. They could not stop apologizing and offering fake sympathy but ultimately they offered nothing to fairly compensate me.. Their best offer was 20 off a new LG microwave Seriously This microwave is the poorest quality and I wish I had paid attention to the bad reviews. The good reviews are primarily from people who recently purchased. But many will soon find out that it is very poorly quality.

Do not buy this microwave

I bought this microwave last year and it started to act up around 10 months after purchase. Finally it officially broke at 13 months and 1 week after purchase and LG wouldnt replace it. I had high expectations its supposed to be a smart microwave and it was expected to out last the old basic ones but it did not. Now Im stuck with an expensive big useless non working microwave. Called LG did troubleshooting and still didnt work and they said theyd get back to me if someone could replace it and I havent heard back since. I just want a working microwave send me a used one for all I care I just cant cook at the moment since I just gave birth.

Solid Performance Inverter Works Great

Love it. The door opens with a pull. Love I dont have to push a button to open it. Also the slide touch to increase or decrease time. It heats up fast. The timer has a pleasant melody and will stop when you open the door. Mid alert. Which annoyed me with our old model. One thing I didnt notice when we bought it is there are no numbers displayed. The control panel is behind the door which works great because we mostly reheat and thats on the front of the door. Inside is the display panel which is a push of buttons. Which when I counted was the same amount of selections/pushes as the numbers on the front menu of the other models. The model fits perfect with the rest of the appliances. So modern. Im still discovering all the features. Love it. A great investment.

Love that you dont have to worry about timing. The front of the microwave has a touch to start with 30 second increments and for my husband who is visually imparied this is great. He can do his 30 seconds or 60 second etc without looking for a timer. You can also decrease the time with another button all located on the front door. Love the microwave and love the little jingle when it is finished.

I purchased this thru Best Buy 10/22/22 and absolutely love it The type of stainless used for the exterior is much easier keep looking clean as opposed to the shiny stainless used in others. I love the darker interior as well. The way the door opens prevents fingerprints on the outside as well. One manufacturing flaw noticed

The LG inverter microwave is perfect size for counter. Love the slide timer on the outside. One flaw is the microwave tends to slip and move due to the door hinge is lower than the front rubber foot LG needs to revise with taller rubber feet to clear door hinge on bottom.

Perfect For Me

After 2 years LED panel is failing

The microwave still works and works well except that it is out of warranty and the LED panel is failing. Example photo should display 2:38 as an example. Does not seem like quality workmanship.

Sleek design and nice features

Great countertop microwave

It is the little things on this unit which lead to the five 5 star rating: 1. Hitting start provides a default run time which you can increase or decrease by dragging your finger across the key pad. 2. The alarm when finished cooking stops when I open the door. Huge pet peeve on my older unit as it sounded the full length alarm all the time. 3. Easy to clean both inside and outside

Not reliable. LG tech support nonexistant.

Stopped working a just before the warranty ran out smoke coming from the electronics and a loud buzzing sound. LG made it impossible to contact them didnt respond to emails long holds so I never could get support or any sort of warranty replacement. Threw it out. Before that experience I loved it.

Pleasantly Surprised....

Its been quite awhile since Ive last bought a microwave. I did some research and I decided to go for this great LG one It was on sale so I was very happy to get an upgraded brand at a sale price. This microwave is definitely easy to clean and easy to use. My husband and I are elderly and we had no trouble in getting used to it. It heats much better than my previous 1000 watt one. So pleased to be part of LG family of products.
