I just had this freezer delivered today so I don™€™t have a great idea of how it™€™s going to work but it fit through the door and right now it™€™s cooling off!! Power failure feature alarm doesn™€™t work

Bought this last month. We lost power. The manual states an alarm will sound if the temp is too high. It says the temp alarm will sound again in 6 hours if the temp isn™€™t restored. We never heard an alarm UNTIL we reset the power. That does us no good because we lost every thing in the grerzer. Then I I tried to write customer relations department based on the email in the warranty packet but that e mail wasn™€™t valid.

Buyer beware ™€¦ Read all 1 star reviews before purchasing this freezer! I certainly should have. This freezer should be discontinued. Like all the other reviews our freezer died and the compressor needed replacing after 20 months. Garbage and poor customer service.

Bad experience with GE freezer™€¦

Based on the great reviews, I purchased this freezer back in October 2024 from Home Depot and after just ONLY 9 months the compressor went bad. Two different service company looked it so far. Now we are waiting the third to contact us. It has been out of commission now for 6 weeks. The repair techs (both) diagnosed that it was the compressor that failed and needed to be replaced. Meanwhile, all of our frozen food has spoiled and was thrown out. Very unhappy with this GE freezer. Little did I know that this brand new unit could not even make it a year in service. Shameful that they can put out such an inferior product. Unfortunately there is no "zero star" review....

The freezer is so quiet, you can™€™t even tell that it™€™s plug in. The capacity is outstanding and I love the turbo freeze feature. My power bill actually went down after I purchased this freezer to replace another GE that I had which was over 20 years old.
